KidsCamp 2023

Scout Camp Austria (Attergau, Österreich)

“One must not forget to see the world through the eyes of a child.” (Henry Matisse)

This year, for the ninth time, the Rotaract KidsCamp Austria is making a vacation possible for 60 children who otherwise cannot afford it.It will take place from July 12th to July 16th, 2023, at the Austrian Scout Camp in St. Georgen im Attergau.

What is the Rotaract KidsCamp?

Children from socially disadvantaged structures between the ages of 7 and 13 spend four days with outdoor games, sports, design, hikes and much more. Rotaractors from Districts 1910/1920 give their free time to give children a vacation from everyday life. Games, fun, adventure and new friendships are in the foreground and at the same time guarantee beaming faces.

How is the KidsCamp realisiert?

The KidsCamp is a joint organization of the clubs RAC Blue Danube Lower Austria, RAC Graz, RAC Pinzgau, RAC Kapfenberg-Sm@rt, RAC Leoben, RAC Gleisdorf, RAC Munich, RAC Vienna-Secession and RAC Linz, with the support of volunteers from many other Rotaract clubs and together with the Rotaract District boards.

The children's participation is ensured by sponsorships from various Rotary Clubs. In addition, a few Rotary Clubs also help with the on-site assembly and dismantling, finance a bus or help in the kitchen.

The program with games, fun and joy is of course the focus when planning a KidsCamp. For four days, the children should have a holiday from everyday life with a varied program. That's why the organizational team thinks about a motto every year, to which the supporting program is aligned. In 2023, contact with and knowing about nature and its inhabitants is a major concern. The campsite is framed by forest and meadows. This results in a perfect place for children, among other things, to experience and learn who lives around them and how to behave in the forest.

The Rotary International Fellowship of Hunters supports the KidsCamp 1910/1920 with a donation of €3000 to set up an exciting and instructive program:This way it is possible to invite the wagon of the Salzburg Hunters' Association for the forest education.

The camp is only possible with the active support of dedicated Rotaractors an Rotarians and now also with our Rotarian Fellowship!
